As Chuck Welch has worked in the Polk County media landscape these past six years he’s had a simple request from many organizations and citizens: “When will the media start publishing the good news about our community?”
His reply was usually along the line of “The media publishes what sells. If you want to get your news out, you’ll have to start something new.”
That something new has been launched. MediaLakeland has created a new community web site – PositivelyPolk.com. The purpose is in the title. Positive news about Polk County written by the organizations and influencers who live and work here. We believe creating this website will go a long way toward putting a positive face on Polk County for those who search about our community.
